Abbl Software Privacy Policy

Abbl Software Pty Ltd trading as Abbl  (referred herein as “Abbl”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information. We recognise the important of protecting the personal information we may collect from visitors and any other individual or entity.

This privacy policy applies to data collected from use of our brewery management software and information collected through us of our website, software suites and applications accessible through our software, social media pages and through any other form of contact with us.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

Terms of Use

By accessing or using our site in any manner, you also agree to be bound by Abbl’s Terms of Use. If you do not accept all of the terms and conditions contained in our Terms of Use, please do not access our website, software or social media accounts.

 

1. What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include: full name, email addresses, phone, information about your device and other metadata.

When you use our services, we will collect personal data from information you provide. 

We and our service partners collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you.  We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us.

2. How we use Personal Information

We will use your Personal Information for the primary purpose for which it was obtained, including but not limited to:

  • Registering access to our website and software suites and associated services

  • Answering any inquiries or support tickets

  • Managing your customer account including billing and administration

  • Validating your identity or verify communications with you

  • Offering, administering and customising your experience with our services

  • Informing you about services, confirmations, updates, security alerts, support and admin messages to facilitate your use and our operation of our services

  • Improving our customer service and to conduct customer satisfaction and quality assurance reviews

  • Operating and improving our website and services including an analysis of website and software activity

  • Marketing purposes and general recordkeeping

  • Providing your personal testimony regarding your experiences of dealing with us

  • Satisfying applicable legal requirements and to enforce our Terms of Use

  • Otherwise fulfilling the purpose for which the information was provided.

We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those set out in this Privacy Policy

 

3. Failure to Provide Personal Information

In some instances, failure to provide personal information will restrict access to our services or parts of our services.

 

4. Third Parties and Sharing Personal Information

Where reasonable, we disclose your Personal Information for business purposes to the following categories of third parties:

  • Payment Processor  – We work with a third party credit card processor in order to receive payments and may release Personal Information in order to verify your identity when making a payment.  When we disclose Personal Information for these reasons, the recipient is required to keep that information confidential and will not use it for any purpose except for the purpose agreed. Credit card information is not stored by Abbl and cannot be accessed by our staff. 

  • Our affiliates – Abbl integrates with a number of third parties to support our business and provide additional valuable services to our customers. 

  • Service providers and other third parties providing core services including but not limited to billing, credit card processing, accounting, auditing, advertising, marketing, analytics, emailing services, data storage and security. 

Your Personal Information may be also disclosed where required or authorised by law. We will attempt to notify you about legal demands for your Personal Information when appropriate in our judgment unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. 

 

5. Security of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Abbl maintains administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your Personal Information from accidental, unlawful or unauthorised destruction, alteration, access, disclosure or use.

However, while we will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information, no security system can be guaranteed to be entirely security. We cannot and do no guarantee the security of your Personal Information. Abbl will not be responsible for the acts of those who obtain your Personal Information unlawfully and will not be responsible for any damages or liabilities related to any incidents to the fullest extent permitted by law. Where required, we will notify you of any such loss.

Subject to applicable law, you may obtain a copy of the Personal Information we maintain about you. It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We  will  take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

For your own privacy, keep all passwords confidential. If you become aware of any breach of this Privacy Policy or the security of our software, please notify us immediately. 

 

6. International Data Transfer

Personal Information collected by Abbl may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate in order to enable us to use the information as per this Privacy Policy. We will only transfer Personal Information when safeguards are in place to maintain the security of your data. If you do not wish your Personal Information to be transferred to a server outside of your own country, you should not provide Abbl with your Personal Information or use any of our services.

 

7. Children

Abbl, its website, software suites and other services are not designed to be accessed by minors under the ages of 18 years of ages. We will never knowingly collect Personal Information of minors and should we become aware of such data, we will remove it from our records and ensure access to our services is refused. 

 

8. Opt-Out Policy

By providing your email address to us on the Abbl website, social media platforms or via our software, you agree that we may contact you in the event of a change in this Privacy Policy, provide you with any service related updates, events, invitations or education information. 

You may at any stage, opt out of newsletters, offers, educational or other email messages excluding e-commerce confirmations or other service notice emails.

At any time, you may contact us through email or telephone to unsubscribe from our software and we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

 

9. Changes

This Policy may change from time to time and is available on our website.
